Twilight!!

On Friday, we went to see Twilight for a friend's birthday party. Hannah was freaking out the whole time. There were so many girls (young and old) screaming in the theater. It was funny to listen to all of them.
In Hannah's opinion, it was, and I quote, "The most amazing movie I've ever seen in my entire life!!!" She fell in love with Robert Pattinson. "He's so amazing!!!"
I thought the movie was okay. I was sure glad I wasn't watching the midnight showing. In my opinion, the movie is exactly the same if you see it at midnight or at four in the afternoon. I would prefer four in the afternoon.
The book was definitely better than the movie, but given only two hours, they did well. They added some parts and took out others. I was very disappointed with Edward's car - it wasn't the right Volvo. :( And Jasper is so wrong!! Hannah is already planning to see it again on Tuesday, just because it's so amazing!

Can You Guess?

Have you noticed the variety of songs on our playlist? Hannah put the list together with imput from all of us. A prize will go to the one who can correctly identify which songs are Hannah's, which songs are Amy's, and which songs are Dave's.
*Hint: Most of the songs are Hannah's, but Dave and Amy are equally represented.

Knight of the Quarter

Hannah received an award at her school today called Knight of the Quarter (her school mascot is the Knight.) Two girls and two boys are honored each quarter at an assembly. It's really an honor but Hannah doesn't think so. Families are invited to come. Normally, the award is a surprise to the student. Parents are hiding behind stage curtains and when their child is called the parents come out. Because Hannah doesn't like to be in front of people, those of you that know her are saying, "Huh? Since when?" she made me promise I would tell her if we were notified that she was Knight of the Quarter. To get her to even go to school I bought her a new shirt and promised her lunch after the assembly. I wrote about Hannah that she is a naturally happy person, that her cousin Emma is a person she admires because of her attitude about moving to Australia, and wrote that Hannah can be gullible; "Wait a minute, The Lion King wasn't filmed, it's animated." We love you, Hannah! Great job, really!!
P.S. I'm even wearing 2 inch heels!!

Halloween!

This year, Hannah dressed up as a 1920's Flapper girl with her friend, Rachel. Zach dressed as a 1920's Gangster. They all looked so cute. Hannah and Rachel spent almost the whole day getting ready. They had to go shopping and get last minute items early Halloween morning. Then they spent the whole afternoon curling hair, putting on fake eyelashes, and doing makeup. Zach just put on his suit and hat and was ready to roll. They left at about 5:40 and took Zach to his friend's house. Then the girls started trick-or-treating and off they went to a party at seven. Zach and his friends were gone till about nine. They claim they hit every single house in the neighborhood. Zach came home with a huge sack full of candy. A gallon sized plastic bag and a huge bowl both had to be used to store his candy. Hannah did more talking and hanging out then she did gathering candy - she came home with very little. It was weird to have both kids gone on Halloween - that's the first time mom and dad didn't go out at all. It was a very fun Halloween, and we're already planning what we're going to dress up as next year.

This was Zach's class Halloween party. He is the one being
mummified. He may look like he didn't enjoy himself but he did. He's way cuter than the banana.
